Cone Health/Visitation Policy
To help control the spread of respiratory illnesses such as COVID-19, Cone Health is restricting visitors to one
per patient at our hospitals, cancer centers and outpatient clinics and practices in most circumstances.

GCCN / Orange Card
Beginning today (3/16/20) patients can apply for the GCCN virtually since our access in the community will be limited at some point.

Guilford County Schools
Grab-and-go food sites for any children up to age 18.
Starting March 18, meals — lunch for that day and breakfast for the following morning — available for pickup from 11 a.m. to noon Monday through Friday. GCS as of 3/19 have added a number of mobile sites

Backpack Beginnings & Simple Gesture
Two agencies who are working to supplement GCS feeding efforts – they might be able to deliver food to individual families as a last resort. The easiest way for families to get that option is to first try the GCS phone hotlines and have clients emphasize that they cannot get to one of the other sites.

Employment & Financial Support

NC DES Unemployment Benefits
As of 5pm on 3/17/20, executive order: 1) Removes the one-week waiting period to apply for unemployment benefits for workers who lost their jobs
2) Removes the requirement that a person must look for another job during this time when so many potential employers are closed and social distancing guidelines are in effect
3) Allows employees who lose their jobs, or in certain cases have their hours reduced due to COVID-19 issues, to apply for unemployment benefits
4) Permits applicants to apply for benefits remotely by phone or online
5) Directs that employers will not be held responsible for benefits paid as a direct result of these COVID-19 claims

Greensboro Transit Authority buses will run hourly along their normal routes.

As of right now, PART plans to operate regular service on all routes except Route 19.
Effective Wednesday, March 17th Route 19 service will be suspended until further notice.
