Youth In Distress on November 16th
Attention Parents & Guardians!
Adolescents in today’s world are facing mounting mental health and societal issues that are different from those of their parents. To address these issues Mental Health Greensboro will host Youth in Distress, a free adolescent mental health symposium on November 16th from 1-5pm in classrooms 5 & 6 of the Women’s Hospital Education Center.
Parents and guardians will learn from, speak with, and ask questions to professionals in the field about specific mental health challenges faced by today’s youth. Topics include:
- Suicide vs. self-harm
- Substance abuse
- Digital and social media addiction
- Eating disorders
- & Depression
This is a free event, no registration required!
This valuable resource for parents and guardians teaches how to recognize and provide support to teens who are struggling. Please see the agenda below & we’ll see you on Saturday, November 16th.
